| The Neuralab Shuttle Experiment
|
The Cheetah was the heart of the University of Arizona E100 experiment
for the NASA NeuraLab Space Shuttle Mission which flew on Columbia in April,
1998.
The rigorous space flight requirements dictated the design of a new,
high performance, low power, compact system with
extreme reliability.
The Cheetah was designed to withstand the intense Space Shuttle launch
vibrations and to perform
in space, which it did
flawlessly - a benefit for all earthbound laboratory
research environments!
